1997: Exploratory mission in Telkouk in eastern Sudan, during which, MdM distributed a large quantity of medical equipment.
2004-2007: Humanitarian aid program in northern Darfur, Dar Zaghawa province. Médecins du Monde reconstructed and equipped 5 primary healthcare centers, aiming to the overall enhancement of the local healthcare system. Additionally, in collaboration with UNICEF, MdM – Greece provided all the essential medicines and medical consumables and organized educational seminars for the local medical staff. The project was co-funded by the General Directorate for International Development Cooperation (YDAS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece.
