1999: Exploratory mission in remote areas of South and North-Western Ethiopia in order to assess the needs of the population. During the two week mission, Médecins du Monde – Greece distributed food items and medicines.
2000: Médecins du Monde – Greece provided thirty tons of food and medical items to the region of South Omo. At the same time, the members of the medical teams offered healthcare services to the population through the hospital in the city of Jinka and the medical centers in the greater area around Jinka.
