BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION
Doctors of the World / Médecins du Monde – Greece (MdM-Greece), founded in 1990, is a medical humanitarian non-governmental organization and is a member of Médecins Du Monde International which consists of 17 delegations (Argentina, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Turkey, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States of America).
The guiding principle underlying MdM’s activities is that every human being has a right to humanitarian assistance, irrespective of their gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, ideology or political persuasion.. The primary goal is to improve access to health care for vulnerable groups. The organization’s activity, however, extends beyond the health sector. Always based on their medical experience and complete independence, they speak out against obstruction of access to health, against human rights abuses and against dignity.

DESCRIPTION OF GENERAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The MHPSS Expert provides support to field teams in the area for the implementation of MHPSS activities and provision of MHPSS services and organization of program activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Actively lead or participate in coordination mechanisms in the project location i.e., general coordination & potential MHPSS groups and advocate for principles of IASC MHPSS guidelines.
- Assist in development of training as per the need of the target audience.
- Support in the development of a detailed work plan of the project activities with specific emphasis on the training.
- Identify and train local mental health officers and staff/volunteers in community outreach, mental health case management, follow-up and mental health awareness.
- Engage trained staff and volunteers in on the job mentoring and supervision
- Supervise and manage project activities in line with the project outcome and outputs.
- Ensure completion and analysis of pre post knowledge tests and on the job supervision checklists.
- Provide training in other MHPSS topics as appropriate, depending on identified needs (e.g. key aspects of psychological first aid and relevant aspects of IASC guidelines)
- Support collection and reporting of mental health project data.
- Compile overall project activities and training reports.
- Implement the project in line with MdM-Greece and global MHPSS standards and guidelines and closely coordinate with Program Supervisory staff.
- Represent MdM-Greece in MHPSS related meetings and coordination groups.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Psychiatry
- License to practice
- Up to 2 years previous experience in humanitarian sector or/and in relevant position
- Experience of volunteering work
- Excellent knowledge of English (writing and oral)
- Excellent computer skills (Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office.)
- Good Working Knowledge of Ukrainian language
