MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
At a time when everything and everyone is moving at an unrealistic speed, it is difficult to focus on people and situations that really need care and protection. These are vulnerable groups of all ages, who have either crossed continents to reach our country as migrants or refugees, or people who do not have access to the health care system everywhere in our country, or people who generally cannot cope with everyday life. Our duty, as a civil-society organization, is to defend the right that every human being has access to diginified healthcare. In parallel, we strive to ensure transparent and democratic governance within the organisation. Wherever there are people, Médecins du Monde Greece is present. Promoting respect to diversity and combating discrimination and xenophobia. It is a special honour for as a volunteer and a medical practiotioner, to be a part of the of Médecins du Monde Greece.
So, wherever people are.

The elected Board of Directors of Médecins du Monde Greece has a two-year term of office. It meets on a monthly basis as part of the democratic governance of the organisation and the systematic monitoring of the implementation of the objectives of the organisation's strategic plan. Looking towards the continuous improvement of the quality of their projects and actions, Médecins du Monde is focusing on human resources and new tools that further ensure the quality, transparency and accountability of actions to both donors and the general public and -most importantly- the beneficiaries of the projects themselves.
Specific written policies and procedures are followed by MdM-Greece in relation to HRM, while the effectiveness of the organisation's strategy, and the extent to which it is integrated, complied with and following the procedures as defined by international HRM standards, is regularly assessed through financial and programmatic risk analyses.
