The “Care for All” project visited the Municipality of Delphi on the weekend of 29-30 June 2024, with a team of MdM-Greece, with the support of Motor Oil Group, at the Itea Health Centre, in another action of prevention and health promotion open to the whole local population.
In coordination with the local authorities to meet the health needs of the region, a population mainly employed in private and public services, fish farming, olive processing and bauxite mining had the opportunity to undergo pathological, radiological and paediatric examinations by the medical and nursing staff of MdM-Greece, enjoying health services equivalent to those provided in urban centres.
At the same time, as part of their stay in the region, on Saturday 29 June, Médecins du Monde visited Roma populations in Amfissa, to whom they delivered material aid and personal hygiene items. The community members were also informed about the importance of vaccination and the rules of reproductive health, while our team checked the children’s booklets to ensure their unhindered access to health services.
It is noted that the purpose of the “Care for All” project is the early diagnosis and prevention of health in the general population and the provision of integrated and quality health services in various regions of the country, so that no person is excluded from necessary health services due to economic, social, geographical or other constraints.
