The project “Support and legal services for victims of hate crime ” refers to the recognition, recording and addressing hate crimes in a holistic manner. The steps that are followed is the identification and recording of cases, the provision of primary medical assistance, the provision of legal support, the continuous psychosocial support, the legal representation of victims and finally the composition of a report with the results of the overall project.

This program constitutes a comprehensive system for recognizing, recording and addressing hate crime, and is placed under the auspices of the Racist Violence Recording Network.

The project has two main goals: a. To provide concrete and comprehensive support services to victims of hate crime, and b. through this service provision, to highlight the procedural, institutional and legal gaps and formulate advocacy positions to the competent authorities.

The project is implemented in collaboration with the Hellenic League for Human Rights, the Greek Council for Refugees, Babel Day Centre, the Greek Forum of Refugees, METAction and Colour Youth.

“Support and legal services for victims of hate crime” is funded by the NGO Program “We are all Citizens” which is part of the EEA & Norway Grants for Greece, while the Foundation Bodossaki is the Fund Operator.
